Job Opening: Facilities Manager

Position Description: Facilities Manager

Supported by Director, Operations Manager, Workshop Supervisor, and Installation Supervisor

Position Overview:

Role Status: Full Time Annualised Salary
Expected hours of work: 40 hour min – up to 50 hours (4 day work week typically 6am – 4:30 Monday to Thursday)

As a Facilities Manager you will be required to:

  • Ordering of consumables and stock items.
  • Managing Purchase Orders.
  • Receiving/checking Incoming Deliveries.
  • Despatch goods following the procedure given.
  • Stock control of consumables and stock items.
  • General workshop cleaning.
  • Packing and labeling of Materials for Jobs.
  • Loading Site vehicles for installation.
  • Hand Tool control.
  • Plant and equipment Management (test and tag).
  • Supplier/Courier PR.
  • Shape scraper, procurement, management and training and sales.
  • Facilities management and maintenance including gardens.
  • Dispatching goods and coordinating Deliveries and pick-ups.
  • Undertaking deliveries and pick ups from site and suppliers.
  • Assisting to manage WHS documentation.
  • Schedule vehicle servicing and maintenance.
  • Quality assurance checks from suppliers.
  • Assist in developing systems for various tasks within the workshop.
  • Must be willing to put in overtime when necessary to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Hybrid role where you are required to assist both onsite and in the workshop for up to 20 hours per week around other tasks.

  • Ability to work unsupervised in the workshop and while offsite.
  • Tidy appearance to represent the business.
  • Positive communication skills.
  • Be prepared to contribute to team meetings constructively.
  • Must learn and use stock control/ordering software (Work Flow Max).
  • Follow safe working procedures and systems. SWMS.
  • Ensure you are clear on what is scheduled for you for the day and work to deadlines. 
  • Contribute to a harmonious cultured Environment, team building and assisting one another as required. (In particular growth of our apprentices).
  • Ensure housekeeping is ongoing by maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
  • Follow  safety and guidance given during daily huddles and weekly meetings.
  • Always Striving for Excellence within and outside of the company.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery equipment and mobile equipment as directed.
  • Ability to problem solve as break-downs occur.
  • Build and nurture supplier relationships.
  • Must be self motivated and driven to achieve the best results for the business in line with the company’s mission.

You Must keep current:

  • Driver’s Licence
  • MR Truck License
  • Forklift Ticket
