Garry is an inspiring member of the Port Stephens Community. He is a Fitter machinist- fabricator by trade and brings extensive knowledge in fabrication and supervising staff from his previous workplaces. He has worked in both small and larger companies, supervising staff over the more than 27 years including a 5 year stint as a Leading hand at Altrom Power, machining power station turbines and generators. The systems that he learnt to work within and create are proving to be valuable assets to Bluewater Stainless.
Garry has had experience as a trainer of Mechanical Fitter Machinists and boilermaker Apprentices so his ability to Mentor and train our younger staff members is evident.
Having also run his own Fabrication businesses for 13 years means he understands the importance of getting a job done within a timely manner and order to keep our customers happy.
Nothing is ever too much to ask of Garry. His positive attitude and caring nature makes for a harmonious workshop that manufactures amazing items for our clients.
Favourite Type of Fabrication: Anything that is hard and people say can’t be done.
Play Hard: Garry enjoys Surfing, snow skiing , tinkering in shed.
Proud Moment: I have many – my wife and three wonderful sons.
Interesting Fact: Garry was a member of “One Australia” 1995 Americas Cup team in San Diego a 2 year experience we didn’t win – the boat sank.
